It is our mission to enable these groups of people to overcome the hurdles inherent in bringing their arts to the masses. The artist must be either neurodivergent or a member of an underrepresented group and if an author, one or more significant characters must face the challenges of being neurodivergent or a member of an under-represented group.
We will not accept written works where the character is a part of one of those groups, but the challenges inherent in being in that community are not addressed as a core element of the story (i.e. no token characters). Ask yourself if someone reading the work who meets the same criteria would read your book and say, "I feel represented."—If the answer is no, then the work does not meet our publishing requirements.
